Valentines Day♥

So its snow week at our school this week. It was also the first day I didn't have practice after danceline has been over. So weird. It was 80's Day yesterday. I wore my 80's style sweatshirt, Super skinny jeggings, boots and this obnoxious ponytail. But the joke was really on me when I started to like it. That's why I took pictures with it! But I had to go to the game to play in the Pep Band later and I did not feel like going in my 80s clothes so I swiched into as much heart-sy valentines day stuff I could find.

Brrrr!

So the last few days have been pretty... abnormal. I probably start a lot of my posts similar to this... but really, it completely describes me. I just had three snow days in a row. Thats what you get for living in beautiful Minnesota! My sister and I bundled up yesterday and went to go venture out in the snow. No lie--everywhere we walked it was deeper than our knees! It was an... adventure. :)

This is the outfit I used for my fashion revue project this past summer. Hence the summery pictures when i just talked about snow passed my knees. Oh how I miss those summer days! My friend and I were fantasizing about the fair to come. I got everything except for the shirt on a major sale. I ended up saving over a hundred dollars! (pics 2-5) In the first picture, I was demonstrating to the judges on how I could mix my purchases into my wardrobe. Which is really smart. When I go shopping, I always have to think what I'm going to wear it with.

Inspirational

Between yesterday and today, I have been finding pretty amazing crafts on line. They have got me really inspired to actually turn something useless into something amazing. The only thing I'm missing from this craft-kick: a sewing machine. It's at Grandma's house. But, I have a skirt pinned up and ready to start, I just need to head three hours there and get my hands on that sewing machine. Ha.. if only it were as easy as it sounds. Through 4-H you can create projects and have them judged, and get ribbons and premiums on them. If you do well, you can win a trip to the Minnesota State Fair and have one amazing experience. My dad is pushing me to go into the clothes you make category. At first, I was not thrilled with the idea. I've never swen in my life. But after a little pep talk from my mom and grandma, I'm excited to give it a go.

These ruffles (including the camera strap) really have me this week and its something I really want to try! And, I hope to get my mom to try this plate idea. I love the finished look!

Kind of a quick post today. Maybe a more full one later since I have been slacking anyway. My friend Stephanie took and edited this picture of me. She is amazing. I really should be getting started on my homework. But really, who wants to translate a song from Spanish to English? Thats what Google Translator is for, right? Just kidding. I came across a really inspiring blog today. It's called A Beautiful Mess. You should check it out because its just awesome. But I guess I really have nothing all that important to say... so later I guess. (Haha... this is why I don't have anybody following my blog yet.)

Preppy Kind of Look

My life has been pretty crazy lately to say the least. Dance line has got all of my weekends so consumed that I feel like I don't have a life anymore. This weekend, however was my first of two weekends off since I had a Friday night competition instead of Saturdays. So, I went with my friend and my family to go shopping in a larger city about two hours away. But, unfortunately I didn't buy anything. Sad day. Oh well. It's not really fun blogging unless people respond! I am going to try to keep blogging and stay strong while I don't have any followers. Oh well!

My Room!

So I know I'm going to be way to busy to post anything tomorrow so I'm posting today. Tomorrow I get to teach a class of 8th graders and I'm pretty excited! I mean, what junior in high school gets to teach a class! haha... anyway to the point of this post... This is a picture of around half of my room. Its crazy--but I love it. Everything on the walls has some kind of meaning. A lot of it is things that were made for me, etc. The other pictures are of my tiny itsy bitsy closet and my lotion/perfume/etc table.

New in Town

Well, I'm new to this whole blogging business. I thought I would give it a try since fashion is my passion. I plan to share different outfits since I was inspired by so many other bloggers. The difference is that they are mostly out of school and I'm still in high school at 16 years old. So, I might not update as often as I wish I could, but I will try. But no promises... I am going to say that homework comes first. (Ironic coming from me... I seem to be a professional procrastinator)
